Muskoka Morning Glory

morning glory flowers

As the nights are getting colder, and the threat of frost is becoming an issue, our gardens and fields are rushing to put on a final display of color for the season. Here the morning glory flowers are in peak bloom, each competing for attention from the bees. Mornings in Muskoka, in every season, provide wonderful sights and surprises. It is hardly necessary to grow extravagant gardens too, but when the garden is exploding with color like this it gives us one more reason to get up early and explore the outdoors while dew is still on the grass.

Beautiful! I’m going through posts, at the minute on my PC. It’s MUCH easier that doing so on my ‘smart’ phone, which is what I usually do.

I was wondering if you had these flowers going. Last year was your first, if I’m not mistaken. These flowers look perfect. I imagine the bees are absolutely loving them. How about the garden? Did you plant one this year? I can’t imagine that you didn’t, but sometimes the things we strive for can get missed.

I would be up and outside too. There’s always a show, so it’s worth getting out and finding out where the mischief is for the day!

That is right, I grew morning glories last year and replanted this year. Last season was a lot better for them. The bees do love them! I grew another garden this year and tried some different plants along with the old reliable ones.

Me too! I had a special person in mind to plant them for but couldn’t get the garden started early like I did last year. I will have to try again next season. In the meantime I hope that if I re-post some of the nice photos from last season it might make up a little bit for what I was unable to do this one.
